GAME GUIDES
Highest-Rated Badminton Player Seasons in 21–0
Compare the highest-rated badminton seasons in 21–0, from singles legends to doubles partnerships.
Each card captures one player or pair in one year. The tables below show the ten strongest eligible seasons in each of the five disciplines, using the same rating scale as an Easy-mode draft, with an extra decimal for comparison. A player can appear more than once: a peak season and a sustained run of strong years tell different stories.
These are 21–0 game ratings, not BWF world rankings or a definitive list of the greatest badminton players. Compare entries within a discipline; a singles rating does not predict a doubles result.

How we rank badminton player seasons
The source is the game’s bundled 1990–2026 player-season dataset. Its ratings start with tournament-weighted Elo and a cross-era adjustment. We load the same repositories as the game, apply the browser’s individual-card eligibility rules, and order cards by their underlying game rating. A card must be non-provisional, meet the game’s career and season match minimums, have at least medium data confidence, and meet the unrounded displayed-rating floor of 70.
For doubles, we use the game’s default individual-strength model: the two partners’ same-year ratings are averaged before the display conversion is applied. The match count and confidence belong to the partnership’s recorded season. A familiar pair with sparse historical coverage can therefore be absent even when its individual members are strong.
Ratings use the same display conversion as the browser and are shown to one decimal place. Sorting uses the underlying rating before rounding; exact ties are ordered by cross-era Elo, then the more recent year, then the name. Two cards showing the same number can still occupy different positions.
What the tables can and cannot tell you
Recorded matches are the results available to the dataset, not necessarily every match played that year. Older seasons and less documented competitions may have gaps. An eligible season can still carry medium confidence, so read the evidence alongside the rating. A year label is not a claim that the season’s real-world results are complete.
These tables are regenerated from the bundled data when the game’s datasets or rating rules change. They are not a live feed of current badminton rankings. Read where the historical results come from and how cross-era comparisons work for the limits behind the numbers.
Turn the rankings into a draft decision
Use the season, not just the surname, when comparing draft offers. Easy mode reveals the numbers; Hard mode hides them without changing the match rules. A top card improves your starting position, but match form, random variation, and World Tour fatigue still leave room for an upset. The draft offers a selection of cards, so a listed season is not guaranteed to appear in a run.
For a team competition, look beyond one star: compare the strongest Thomas, Uber and Sudirman Cup lineups and see which countries have depth across the required slots.
